Saturday 11th May – Not the best start for 1XI

The 1st Team played against some old friends from the OCA, East Oxford on a very showery day at Horley. Ali Malik was the pick of the bowlers getting 5-59 off 21 overs. Horley managed to get 153 for 6 after leaving the field a number of times for rain. Overs got reduced to 46/41 split but East Oxford only needed 23 overs to reach the small target winning by 7 wickets.

Horley 2nd Team made the best of a wet day getting more points on the board than the opposition. Didcot 3rds struggled to get near the 235 that the Horley boys posted. Mark Tubb getting his first league half century reaching 69 and Nigel Leach getting a good 52. Richard Hart slowed Didcot’s chase getting 4-55. Then the rain came a stayed. Match Drawn
