Dear All,

Thanks for the information/ideas/offers of help so far sent in.

You will recall that Terry and myself were tasked by Committee to be co-ordinators for the new pavilion project. (that’s co-ordinators not sole decision makers!! Lol)

I will arrange a meeting with him to start the process and then we can report back periodically to Committee.

There is obviously a lot of enthusiasm already for this project which will enhance our Club and is a large part of the jigsaw for the future of the Club.

Please keep your ideas/thoughts/information coming in.

Dave B.

Firstly, Sorry I didn't make the meeting.

As I have told Jon before Nikki is happy to help out by sitting down with someone to write a letter to the local charity trusts. We will find a Charity Trusts book in the library, in there we will find Trusts that will give money to us, it's all sorted into categories (ie, Youth, Sports Clubs) and county's, so we should be able to send out quite a few letters. Nikki used to do this for RSPB and some trusts would give up to 20k! So well worth a look into. The same letter could go to any local millionaires too I guess!!

I also noticed that one of the club houses on this site below had solar panel's on the roof, I think this is a must as you can say in the letter about being environmentally friendly not to mention the cost savings in the future years.

This website has some interesting ideas

Chatting with onlookers around the field this evening one of them mentioned having got a fair sized grant from Sport England. I think it was Woodford they were talking about.
